Our monthly visit to UCPRUK

The Welfare Department in Salt Lake City asked us to survey the vision equipment

donated by LDSC to Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta and 

Sam Ratalangi University in Medan since 2011 to see if it is still

in use and functioning properly.

Our first visit was the Gadjah Mada University

Friday August 5

Saturday, we traveled into a remote village to observe

an eye clinic by Gadjah Mada University where

they examined villager's eyes with LDSC

equipment

Saturday evening we were invited to dinner and a signing ceremony

for our 2016 eyeglass project for primary school students

with Prof. Dr. Suhardjo and his staff

Sunday, after Sacrament Meeting, we were invited to the hospital by Dr. Agus

to observe a free cataract surgery clinic for 62 patients

where LDSC donated equipment was used.

Pres. Rowley authorized us to go to Bali for 3 days to meet with
Elder and Sister Johnson, our supervisors
