The first week in August we were invited to Dr. Titi's Hospital's 24th Birthday Party
We were invited to participate in the Jakarta Zone Conference.
It was great to be with the young missionaries and feel of their energy and spirit.
August 17th is Indonesia Independence day and Sister Donald's birthday celebration at the Mission Home.
Cheryle made the birthday cake.
Lots of fun Indonesian games and music.
Instead of donuts on a string we tried to eat an Indonesian snack like a rice cake.

We attended a wheelchair training in Yogyakarta, (Joga).

 |
| On the third day of the training actual patients were assessed, measured, fit to the wheelchair and trained in proper use and care |

Our original VISAs for Indonesia were only for a four month period and expired at the end of August, so it became necessary to leave the country, travel to Singapore and apply for new VISAs at the Indonesian Embassy.
We took Elder Lovelock with us because he needed to get a new VISA as well.
